his guide covers how to add one or more ticket tiers to an existing event — including free, paid, VIP, and group tickets.
Before you begin
- Your event must already be created. See How to Create an Event on Packet Africa.
- Ticket tiers are added from the Event Details Hub, not during event creation.
Step 1: Open Your Event
- Log in to app.packetafrica.com.
- On the left sidebar, click Event Ticketing.
- Click on the event you want to add tickets to. This opens the Event Details Hub.
Step 2: Go to Manage Tickets
- In the top navigation bar of the Event Details Hub, click the Tickets dropdown.
- Select Manage tickets.
- Click + Add Ticket (or Create Ticket).
Step 3: Configure the Ticket Tier
Fill in the following fields for each ticket type:
- Ticket Name — a clear, descriptive label (e.g. Early Bird, General Admission, VIP Pass, Executive Table of 5).
- Description / Perks — list what is included with this ticket (e.g. “Front-row seating, complimentary drink, and networking lounge access”).
- Price (NGN) — enter the ticket price in Naira. Enter
0for a free RSVP ticket. - Quantity Available — the total number of tickets available for this tier. Once this limit is reached, the tier is automatically marked Sold Out.
- Purchase Limit per Order — the maximum number of tickets a single buyer can purchase in one transaction (e.g. set to
2to prevent bulk purchasing or scalping).
Click Save Ticket.
Step 4: Add More Tiers (Optional)
Repeat Step 3 for each additional ticket tier. You can create as many tiers as your event requires. Common setups include:
| Tier | Price | Quantity | Per-Order Limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Early Bird | ₦5,000 | 100 | Max 2 |
| General Admission | ₦10,000 | 500 | Max 5 |
| VIP Pass | ₦35,000 | 50 | Max 2 |
| Executive Table of 5 | ₦250,000 | 10 | Max 1 |
| Student / Free RSVP | ₦0 | 200 | Max 1 |
